About Ealga Lodge
Ealga Lodge Nursing Home is located in the village of Shinrone, on the border of Offaly and Tipperary convenient to North Tipperary and Laois. Shinrone is a close-knit community, and residents are supported to maintain meaningful local connections through Mass, prayer services, community events, school visits, and engagement with local organisations.
Ealga Lodge is a purpose-built nursing home arranged over two floors, designed to support safe, accessible, and structured care. All bedrooms are ensuite with level-access showers, television, and nurse call systems. Bedrooms are positioned away from busy communal areas to promote privacy and rest.
Residents may be accommodated on our First Floor wings, including the Regan, Kennedy, Obama, and Clinton areas. The home also includes a dedicated oratory for spiritual reflection and quiet space.
Spacious lounge areas provide comfortable settings for social interaction and family visits, while the internal courtyard — featuring a relaxing water feature — offers a calm outdoor space.
