Meet the Team:
Nadine joined the Larissa Lodge team in August 2020. Overseeing all administrative functions in the home. Her job includes managing communication with relatives, answering calls, emails, and organisation. Nadine has over 5 years’ experience in Office Administration and over 2 years in Customer Service. Coming from a great country background Nadine loves to sit with the residents and hear old stories from their lives.
Abhilash has done his bachelor’s degree in nursing in India and experience of more than 10 years’ in nursing. He moved to Dublin in 2017 and has worked with care of the elderly since then.
Paul Mc Daid had worked in the Hospitality Industry for over 30 years having graduated from Cathal Brugha Street in Dublin ..He now joins the Kitchen Team at Larissa Lodge as head chef. A native of Letterkenny and a proud Donegal man , Paul has two lovely daughters Laura & Sara who also share his love for Donegal.
Karen has a degree in Social Care Practice, and Karen is eager to create an enjoyable environment for the residents here. Some of the activities Karen currently provides include bowling, art class, bingo, and different sensory activities. Karen hopes to incorporate aromatherapy and bring a more social approach to the nursing home during these difficult times.
Larissa Lodge Care Home is a single-storey 65 bed nursing home unit located in the town of Letterkenny in Co. Donegal. Full-Time, general nursing care is provided. Our home specialises in skilled nursing, short term rehabilitation, long and short-term care and end of life care.
Larissa Lodge is located in a residential area in the town of Letterkenny. Our focus is to provide a friendly and inviting atmosphere for all our residents and families. With our range of accommodation options and living spaces, you can be sure you’ll be able to maintain a high level of comfort and safety.
Larissa Lodge Nursing Home is specially designed, purpose-built nursing home providing 24-hour nursing-led care.
Our staff provides care and assistance for residents who are low dependency seeking assisted daily living, medium dependency seeking some degree of medical attention or high dependency requiring total nursing care. Ealga Lodge participates in the Nursing Home Support Scheme (Fair Deal Scheme).
We offer long-term, convalescent and respite care, dementia care, post-operative rehabilitation and end of life care for people over the age of 18 years.
Preadmission assessments are carried out with all potential Residents to ensure that Ealga Lodge is the appropriate setting and is capable of meeting with the Residents care needs.
Larissa Lodge is a single storey building. All bedrooms are ensuite with level access showers and are complete with television and nurse call alarm. As a purpose-built nursing home, the layout and design of the home ensures that Residents bedrooms are located away from our busy dining and living rooms.
The nursing home has an oratory in which residents can fulfill their spiritual needs or enjoy some peaceful space.
There are a number of spacious lounge areas in which residents and their loved ones can relax and enjoy the in house social activities or family gatherings (when possible). Residents are also welcome to enjoy our outside space including an internal courtyard.
Larissa Lodge has its own Hair Salon situated where Residents can enjoy the opportunity to schedule an appointment with our hairdresser who visits the home every Thursday and Friday.
Meals are served in our dining room where our highly skilled chefs will provide nutritious, wholesome and tasty food in conjunction with the dietary needs and personal preferences of the residents.
Internet access is available for all residents, there is a Smart TV in the lounge where residents can avail of a wide range of television programmes, documentaries and films. We have a tablet available for our residents to conduct Zoom or Whatsapp video calls.
The Person in Charge and the Administrator can be accessed in their own offices and the Clinical Nurse Manager and Nurses are available at the Nurses’ Station or alternatively via the call bell.
